Changing GIT Version In SSH

    By default the available version for GIT is a few versions behind what cpanel uses itself. If you want a newer version, the easiest way to accomplish this is to create an alias which will allow you to use the newer version.

    You can do this by issuing the following commands:

    echo 'alias git="/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/git"' >> ~/.bashrc
    source ~/.bashrc

    Confirm version change:

    Code:
    git --version
